Issuing anti-counterfeit permits began in Neyshabur

Ali Najafi said during the opening ceremony of Neyshabur's Afarinesh Park that municipal building permits and completion certificates are official documents used in judicial proceedings. In the past, these documents were issued as booklets, which gave them a stronger identity and evidentiary value.

He explained that the anti-counterfeit papers now used for municipal permits and completion certificates are being adopted by Neyshabur Municipality for the first time in eastern Iran so citizens can use them with greater confidence.

Najafi said Neyshabur Municipality issued 862 building permits for 392,000 square meters of land last year. Since mechanized systems were introduced, the older booklet format could no longer be used and documents were issued on ordinary sheets, which led to repeated forgery problems and legal difficulties for citizens.

He stated that the anti-counterfeit papers include a hologram and a background pattern that appears only under ultraviolet light, making forgery impractical and clearly detectable.

Najafi added that Neyshabur's green space has increased by 50,000 square meters annually over the past four years, raising the city's green-space per-capita figure from 10.83 to 11.50 square meters.

He also noted that since the previous September, the municipality had followed a plan to deliver 10 projects every 100 days, completing 58 projects worth 580 billion rials over 300 days.

He said nine neighborhood parks covering 40,000 square meters were among those projects, and Afarinesh Park was the final park in that group, built over 12,000 square meters with a budget of 37 billion rials.

Najafi said all new parks use pressurized irrigation systems and plant species suited to the region's climate.

Neyshabur County, with a population of about 400,000, is located 127 kilometers west of Mashhad.
